Episode Transcript
As this year comes to a close, I’ve been looking back at all the conversations we’ve shared on The Kinder Way Podcast. And I realized something funny: when I think about what truly mattered this year, my mind doesn’t go to interest rates… or market updates… or even the big financial headlines we all lived through.
It goes to the human stuff.
It goes to the parent who reached out to tell me they finally understood why getting a whole life policy for their kid was so important.
… to the people who quietly decided they wanted to protect their families a little better.
… to the listeners who said, “I’ve been thinking about this for years… and this time, I finally took the first step.”
When you zoom out, a year isn’t defined by numbers or paperwork. It’s defined by the moments where you chose to care.
Care for your spouse or kids. Care for your aging parents. Care for the future version of yourself who will be so grateful you paused long enough to think ahead.
We talk a lot about planning on this podcast, but planning is really just another word for love in the long term.
It’s the way we protect the people who rely on us, even when the world feels busy or overwhelming.
And I think that’s worth celebrating.
So if you’re listening to this and wondering whether you “did enough” this year… I want to offer something gentler.
You showed up.
You learned.
You cared.
You made decisions, big or small, that moved your family towards more security.
And that counts.
As we step into a new year, let’s not give into the pressure to reinvent ourselves.
Let’s just keep doing what we’ve already been doing: showing up with kindness, curiosity, and intention.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what builds a stable future.
Not perfection. Not urgency. Just steady, human care.
So here’s to the year behind us – messy, meaningful, and full of small acts of kindness and protection.
I’m grateful to be on this journey with you, and I can’t wait to see what we build together in the next chapter of The Kinder Way Podcast. Join me in 2026 for new stories, more insider tips, and a lot more fun in Season 2.
That’s a wrap, 2025!
Have a safe and happy holiday… and see you next year!
